The Searchcam® Mongoose Extrication Camera is designed to assist in victim extrication in a wide variety of rescue operations. The Mongoose was created to work in conjunction with the Searchcam 2000 Victim Location System during structural collapse rescues. It is also designed for use as a stand-alone system for vehicle and industrial accident extrications to fully visualize the victim. The compact design of the Mongoose allows the system to be used at structural collapse rescues to get into and manoeuvre within small void spaces. It can also be used as an aid to breaching operations to allow the rescuers to check for structure stability and monitor victim safety. During vehicle or industrial extrication incidents, the Mongoose can be used to look under the dash or behind heavy machinery to determine the patient’s degree of entrapment. Moving the small camera to view the victim’s extremities reduces the need to move the victim. The Mongoose camera head articulates in one direction a total 120 degrees. This combined with the wide-angle camera lens allows the camera to look backward, toward the operator. The 16 element white LED illumination and full colour camera provide outstanding picture quality in zero light conditions at a distance from a few inches to over six feet (1.8 m) away. The detachable display provides increased operational flexibility. One hand operation is easy with the display attached or the display can be removed for limitless probe manoeuvrability. As with all Searchcam systems, the Mongoose is designed and built for quality. The probe is machined from high strength aluminium and is built to take a beating. The waterproof camera head allows direct immersion in water. The Mongoose is compatible with all Searchcam 2000 accessories and batteries. The Searchcam Mongoose is designed for rescue teams who want a quality extrication camera.

Searchcam Precision Control
The Mongoose camera head fits into tight spots with ease. The 120 degree articulation allows excellent viewing range. Smooth, precise camera head articulation control is a hallmark of the Searchcam system.
Structure Collapse
The Mongoose allows the rescue team to get into small voids to conduct detailed searches. The Mongoose can stay with the Rescue Team to extricate the patient after the Search Team has moved on to continue the search. The small camera allows quick inspection holes to be created to aid in breaching operations.
Vehicle Extrication
The Mongoose gives rescuers the edge in vehicle extrication. Use the small camera head to quickly assess injuries and entrapment in hard to reach areas. Look under the dash to view foot and leg entanglement before lifting the dash
Industrial Extrication
The Mongoose can speed difficult industrial rescues. Use the camera to visualize the full extent of entanglement. See how the patient is trapped from all angles. The Mongoose aids in pre-planning the extrication process. Continually monitor lifting or spreading operations to protect the patient.
