The Power Talk Box Controller is used in conjunction with a CSI-2131 Power Talk Box to create a portable untethered Two-way communication system.
DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The CSI-2105 Power Talk Box (PTB) Controller Module when attached to cable and the CSI-2131 Power Talk Box becomes a standalone portable intercom system that provides untethered, open two-way communication between an Operator/Attendant and a worker/entrant. At one end of the system the CSI-2131 provides full duplex hands free communication allowing the worker(s) to speak and hear without doing anything. At the other end of the system the CSI-2105 PTB Controller has an open speaker to monitor the worker/entrant continuously, but requires the Operator to activate the Controller PTT or Optional Footswitch PTT to speak to the worker(s) at the other end.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
The CSI-2105 PTB Controller consists of a moulded fibreglass enclosure housing state of the art electronic circuitry, high output speaker, sensitive microphone, volume controls, push to talk switch, remote PTT connector, grounding lug, on/off switch, battery holder and a low power warning LED.
The industrial speaker is completely waterproof as is the entire unit. Parts and components used in the manufacture of the PTB Controller are of the highest quality providing users with an extremely rugged and reliable product
Protection bars that double as handles protect the controls and face of the unit. The microphone is placed on the side of the unit so that it cannot be covered up. The unit is powered by 3 standard "C" cell batteries, which will provide 200+ hours of normal use.
